Incredible Opportunity Program

Incredible OpportunityThe Incredible Opportunity Program began in 2010; students can apply and are selected through an essay contest to receive low cost group violin instruction and orchestral experience.

Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra, a not-for-profit organization, sponsors 20 students, 8 – 13 years old, who would like to learn to play the violin, viola, or cello.

Requirements to be considered for the Incredible Opportunity Program:

  1. Student must want to play the violin, viola, or cello.
  2. Student must be able to attend group lessons Sundays from 3:00pm – 4:00pm from September through April.
  3. Student must submit via Email/Mail a one page essay:
    “Why I would like to play the violin, viola, or cello.“
    by the deadline August 31st. Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra P.O. Box 662 ~ Flossmoor, IL 60422
  4. Student must be 8 to 13 years old

If your essay is selected, here are the details:

Cost$35/month includes weekly group instruction. A rental violin will be provided if needed at no additional cost. $15.00 for book and shoulder pad.
